my pregnancy books say that on average the baby will drop 2-4 weeks before birth. im wondering if it will happen overnight or if i'll be walking around and notice her drop. what does it feel like? does it happen with you knowing or do you just wake up and notice something different?

It's different for each woman and each pregnancy. Some women don't drop til they go into labor. Some drop as early as 35wks. From my own experiences, it doesn't just drop down while you're walking down the street. It's a gradual process over a few days. You might start feeling a little more pressure down low and then little by little it's hard to walk because it feels like you can't get your legs up to even walk. You'll pee ALOT more(as if you thought THAT was possible, right?) and when you sit down it will feel like you are sitting on something very uncomfortable(which happens to be baby's head which has dropped down into position). You'll know when it happens IF it happens. It doesn't always happen. With my boy, I don't think I dropped at all. It was literally a matter of going into labor and then him sliding down into the pelvis.

Why do you're saying -2 station ability the child has dropped? have been you larger at a prior checkup or did your wellbeing care professional say you had dropped? i'm only questioning on account which you probably did no longer point out those issues. i think of you're starting to be it backwards. i think of alongside with your first the child drops once you're beginning into hard artwork. And with each and all the babies afterwards the child drops a pair weeks earlier.

First time mothers tend to drop sooner, a few weeks before labor. You might notice it happening because you can breathe a little easier and eat without feeling so full. You might feel a lot of pressure on your bladder and pelvic floor.

It's rare to feel it happening in an instant. It's more gradual and yes you might wake up one morning and feel the change.

I never really noticed it, but people that saw me on a regular basis would make comments about the location of the baby bump.

Each baby is different. Each woman carries different.

Don't worry about the possibilities and just enjoy it when it happens.
