It's a bit silly buying a complete winter wardrobe to wear for basically 2 days 1 night only so might have to settle for just 1 very essential piece. many thanks in advance...

get an ushanka hat when you get there (expect to pay about £20 maximum) and before you go get a thermal base layer and a fleece sweater from your local Millets or Blacks store

For a business trip you'll need a suit! I find that wearing long johns and thermals under my clothes is the best bet.

The problem with Moscow is that outside is cold, by everywhere indoors is super-heated to +25. Its very uncomfortable if you overdress. Just dress a little more warmly than you would here, and stay off the street as much as possible.

Also, wear shoes that have a good grip. the paths can be slippy.

In Moscow you will even see the planet famous cinema, the Bolshoi Theatre, the jewel in the crown of Moscow's rich national life. Moscow has lot to offer and let me tell you you will like a holyday here.
