Adrian "All Day" Peterson should be the Rookie Of The Year and a candidate for 2007 NFL MVP, even if the Vikings can't make it to the playoffs with that tough division they suddenly find themselves in.
I still think LaDainian Tomlinson and Joseph Addai have strong cases to be the best running back as well, and we'll let the rest of the season play out.

Well, I've got to admit, if Tom Brady didn't do as well as he has been doing this year (33 TD in 9 games, 2 INT in over 175 passes), then Adrian Peterson would surely win the NFL MVP award and the NFL Rookie of the Year award, but due to Brady's excellence, he'll only be getting the Rookie award. He surely deserves this award. Yes, so far this year, it looks like he IS the best RB in the NFL. Some people argue to say that Joseph Addai of the Colts is, but those some people are wrong. It's Peterson, Peterson, and more Peterson. He's got 8 TD and an incredible number of rushing yards, so much that it's not even funny. Yes he is this year's LT, and deserves the MVP award, if not for Tom Brady. But position wise, yes, he's the NFL's #1 RB so far and is a write-in for the Pro Bowl.

Its LT. Peterson is in the top 10 but he is only a rookie. He also plays behind a good o-line. He will probably be the best in about 3-4 years though.

Sheklikak is right. It is so difficult in this league to be the best Running Back for over 3 years straight. You had Priest Holmes, Alexander, LT and now AD steps in. The guy is shattering records every time he steps on the field. If he gets 30 touches a game, could be pretty scary for opposing defenses.

Great RB
Great O-Line
Wait untill he gets a small injury that puts him on the bench for a game or two. If he can come back from that then he will be the best. Look what happened to Cadillac Williams, he went 4 or 5 weeks into his rookie year being the number 1 back in the league, got hurt and hasn't been the same since. Now is hurt again.

No one can dethrone Tomlinson with all he has done over night with one good half of a season.
Peterson has the best numbers thus far and looks to be the clear cut rookie of the year and that's all we can award him with for now.
