She only comes around when things are not going well for her ie no money,no food,.Her husband does work but he is 35 and works a very low paying job so they have a hard time paying rent etc. When things are good(when he desides to do work on the side) she never calls or comes around when things aren't so good she calls and talks about leaving him other guys blah blah.I am married happily with two small children and I don't need her drama.I am debating on inviting her for dinner because I know they don't have food and she has a 2 year old who needs someone to look out for him. What would you do would you disconnect, call dhs, what would you do?
the baby has grandparents but she doesn't tell them how bad things really are.

I think you should have a talk with her first and see if she's willing to change herself for the better and for her 2 year old. But if that doesn't work out, take extreme measures and never really help her again and if she doesn't take care of her 2 year old as well as she should, then tell the kids grandparents about the situation.

If you continue to help her, you're enabling her. She won't change if people do things for her. She's just using you for your charity. I know I would feel bad, but ultimately I would just disengage from her; she'll only bring you down.
