If you add "blurp and "blurp" you have two "blurp"s.

Put "x cubed" in the blurps. It's the same answer. 2 (x cubed).

It's simple .....just memorize this ....they are like terms ....this means that you can add then ..... but keep in mind that here you only add the x values or total ..

x^3 + x^3 = 2x^3 ...you just add the two x and keep the same exponent....
