Well, I've heard piano concertos & acoustic guitar solos that lasted hours. Depending on the talent of the artist performing I would think a piano could give enough variety (and tonal range) to keep anyone entertained for hours on end -- if the performer's fingers & hands held up that long, that is!

Guitar or Piano because they are most versatile of the instruments. What other instrument can do everything from rythem to melody and chords.
They do it all. Probably guitar is what I choose.
