I live in the country and have hard well water which increases stains and scum. To get my fiberglass tubs and showers really clean I use very fine, furniture grade steel wool. You would think that it would scratch the surface but it doesn't. I've tried many commercial products but none works as well as the steel wool and good old fashioned elbow grease. I clean my tubs and fixtures @ every 4 months and use a whole package of steel wool on each. It's a cheap alternative that produces great results and gives you a good cardio workout in the process.

I would use the Tilex soap scum. I love this product. I spray my shower once a week with it and never have a problem. I also have heard that a mixture of vinegar and water will do the trick. heavy on the vinegar I would guess.

For your problem it might take several times of whatever you try. Don't think it will come all if the first time with any product if it has gottne that bad.

BAM, Mr Clean Pad, Lime Away,...and sometimes liquid laundry soap and comet mixed together works very well. It also cuts grease from bubble bath or soap if you take baths. I manage a motel and have tried just about everything.

Dow scrubbing bubbles. That stuff is amazing. Also, a Mr Clean magic eraser and some elbow grease works wonders.

CLR in the spray bottle. Spray it on, let it sit for about 20 minutes and wash off. Use gloves. You may have to do it a few times.
