Tuning involved maintenance to the base and edges of the snowboard. http://www.frostyrider.com/boards/index.php?board=3.0
The base is ground flat then waxed and textured. The edged are deburred and sharpened. Most people get few tunes professionally done at a snowboard/ski shop and then use a tuning kit to get you by in between sessions. As for tuning kits, OneBallJay and Toko make great kits. http://www.frostyrider.com/shops/frostys_shop.htm?gear=tuning+kit
