I will be in Phoenix about 4 days before the super bowl, I know about the nfl interaction thing with cards and throwing footballs and stuff but what else is going on that week, looking for more adult stuff like big parties with lots of beer drinking ect...

You might want to head over to Mill Avenue in Tempe. It's about a 45-50 minute drive from the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale. But there's a ton of bars, restaurants, and clubs. Mill Avenue attracts the college age crowd, but certainly there are no age limites on partying ;-)

Scottsdale also has a great nightlife with bars and clubs. You'll find a greater age range and clubs/bars ranging from neigborhood holes in the walls to more upscale establishments. Scottsdale is pretty spread out, so you might want to consider maybe the Old Town/Scottsdale Rd. area, and then when you're done partying there you can drive to Mill Avenue. In northern Scottsdale, the Kieran Commons area also has some nicer clubs & bars.
I'm sorry I am not too familiar with places on the West side of town.

Honestly, I haven't heard of many big parties being hosted or anything. I do hear on the news that the Phoenix & Glendale police forces are gearing up to comabt DUI's that week. Perhaps your hotel is offering something for Superbowl guests.

Have fun!

Head out to down town Scottsdale or Mill Ave in Tempe, but don't miss the lingerie bowl.
