Would a business that requires brainpower qualify as a service business?
If such a business qualifies, I would suggest:
Business Planning.
Business Consulting.
Accounting.
Marketing.
These services can be performed on the computer and over the Web from any location with very little overhead.

I think you are looking in the wrong place.
What I think you are looking for is what author Tim Ferris refers to as a "muse". Simply put a muse is an automated, scalable business structure that relies on outsourced infrastructure and employees and only requires minimal input from you which consists of reviewing detailed reporting from your outsourced employees.
Too much to go into, the book is called "The four-hour work week" and while the title is cheesy, which was based off of a test marketing technique that he explains in the book, it is not only a how-to it is a how not to manual for anyone looking to escape the deffered life plan and live.
Changed my life, and I highly recommend that you read it before you start any of these ventures.
Good luck and don't forget to live while you are building your new venture, you can't get that back.

At this time of year clearing leaves off driveways and lawns,
Leaves on driveways are dangerous. The bottom ones rot own and become very slippery and dangerous to walk on. An enterprising person could start a business clearing driveways.
Equipment needed :
Leaf broom or blower
Black bags
A giant compost heap at their own home (home made)
The mulched leaves can be sold back to clients as compost.

I have a home business with low start up costs and the potential to earn a great living. When people join me in this venture, I help them with every step to show them how to start and run their business. You are in business for yourself but never by yourself.

It all depends on how much you want to start with. you can start with ebay by finding suppliers that handles drop shipments. Have the right connections as well to sell on ebay. from there you can move and start selling other products like airsoft.
