That diminished 7th chord has a number of possible resolution chords. Among them are: F minor, F major, C major, C7th(dom.), A major,A7th(dom.), D minor, etc. Some are more useful than others and some will need to progress to another more final chord (C7th and A7th).

The most common resolution is to go to chord IV of C minor, i.e. F minor chord.
