If it's not true that prosecuters just like sending people to prison just because they can, then why are their mental health units in prisons filled with inmates who do nothing but DROOL OUT OF THEIR MOUTHS?

Prosecutors are paid to prosecute. if you don't think people belong there, blame defense attorneys.

It isn't true. They are their to do their best at prosecuting offenders. They take each incident on a case by case basis. I'm sure they'd prefer people just behaved so they didn't have to send them to prison. Unfortunately, that's not the case. Many of those mental inmates are probably former drug addicts and are somewhat responsible for their state of being.

It's a prosecutor's job to, um, well, PROSECUTE! And if they enjoy their jobs, good for them.

Prosecutors convict, judges sentence. It's their job.
