Why are so many feminists and anti-war supporting Hillary? Hasn't it been a general idea of feminists, (especially the NOW) that women would bring peace? Yet, Hillary voted for the Iraq war, voted for harsher tactics against Iran (empowering the Bush administration for further war) and intends to keep our troops in Iraq for an indefinite time. Is Hillary getting special treatment from feminists simply because she's a woman?

Yes. The Fems will sell out every time if it would mean getting a woman in power. They have no convicitions, no principals. To them the end justifies the means.

We're in election time, that means rivals should say everything to try to stop their front runner.
Haters should use any kind of forum to blast a candidate they don't support ... And that's the real deal!
a) Obama and Edwards are Hillary's rivals, they would like to be at Hillary's place: the democratic nominee, according to the polls. So we could not expect to heard positive things from Obama and Edwards when it comes to talk about their front runner, Hillary Clinton.
b) On the republican side they would prefer to have Obama, Edwards or someone else to be easy for them, but not Hillary Clinton, because she's a clear winner. Also, we could not surprised to heard harsh attacks from the puppet Giuliani and the flip-flopper Romney and the rest, when it comes to Hillary Clinton.
c) This forum is some way for Hillary haters to express their frustration by trying to bash and said lie stuff about Hillary Clinton, but the truth cannot hide at this time. The politics of fear and the dirty campaigns cannot succeed more ...
America has already spoken in the polls, like it or not you have to deal with it and you should handle the truth if your country comes first in your mind and not the party you support to.

What an ignorant statement "that women would bring peace". That's like saying that men should bring war.
Get off the gender issue with Senator Clinton.
If she is getting special treatment from feminists that is wrong but if she is getting special negative treatment from others due to being a woman that's equally as wrong.

The US weapons industry seems to believe in her intent.

as they are backing her $$$ 100% and her campaign war chest.
Women need to research beyond play the woman ticket. This is no woman. She is seasoned vet in political trenches and a War Hawk is only too good of a term for her.
Read this link thru and understand now that it is not PC she alters positions. Not a candidate I want given volatile international concerns. Thanks.

Hillary wants to be everything to everyone, so she'll say whatever she thinks her audience wants to hear. Bill could get away with that tactic, but Hillary can't pull it off.
Anyone who would vote for, or against, someone because of their gender is wrong. As a conservative, I would vote for a woman, a minority, or anybody else (Condi Rice, two for one) who shared my views.

women probably do feel somewhat inclinded to hilary because she's a woman but many people also agree that pulling out too soon would create disruption and another dictatorship in Iraq. It really all depends on the person.
hope this helps

not just feminists.
anyone can fall prey to seeing only what they want to see in a leader-figure. George Pataki won his first governor election by simply being "not Mario Cuomo." A lot of fundies have backed GOP candidates and later felt betrayed by them.
When Hillary first ran for Senate, I knew a lot of environmentalists (who were then fighting a cement plant proposed for our town) backing her, despite her ties to big polluters (including cement industries).
Hillary is following the tried-and-true politicians' road of trying to appeal to everyone; she seems to know if she gets in that she'll have to act more like Maggie Thatcher than like Susan Sarandon.
There's enough to critique Hillary on without having to single out feminists; but if that's your only avenue of spin, you have chosen that handicap yourself.

Hilary Clinton scares the crap out of me. I think that she is a crook and should be incarcerated. I am proud to say that I am a 30-year-old, mid-upper class, caucasian female and I am voting for Barack Obama.

I think that there are people who will vote for her simply because she's a woman.
But the other side of the spectrum tells us that people will also not vote for her because she's a woman.
