I would rather have Andruw's gold glove in CF for $20 Million then a washed up Griffey at $12 Million. I don't like the fact that Griffey will make that much money and wouldn't want him to play for the Braves I think the Braves have enough bats in the lineup so they don't need Griffey and plus he is so injury prone that you can't count on him playing 162 games. Braves should'nt get Griffey let someone from the minors play maybe Brandon Jones in CF.

Griffey has trouble making it through a whole season, so I would say it would be a mistake. I'd also be interested in knowing what it would cost to get him vs. what it would have cost to keep Andruw. Griffey is nearing the end of his career and would probably be better off going to an AL team where he could play limited field time and be a DH. All in all, I think it would be a bad move.

Griffey would not be a long term replacement since he is near retirement. The Braves could help themselves in a better way if they looked to obtain a younger player. However, Griffey would be great to have for a team in contention to help stabilize the clubhouse.

intresting trade griffey still has pop in his bat and will hit better than jones did all they will have to give up is some pitchers, since that is what the reds want. The braves got a good deal from the tigers in that trade.

We do not need to get Griffey. I still think we need to resign Andruw.

Griffey jr. was done before he started. 2 bad he couldn't stay healthy. He would be braking Bonds home run record in a couple of years

Don't the Graves (misspelling intentional) have enough injury-prone players?
