My brother in law takes pieces of tree bark and soaks them really well, and separately, he soaks the turkey in brine (salt water) for two days. Then he puts both in his smoker and cooks the bird for 6-8 hours. It comes out with a smoky, salty taste, dark pink from all the smoke it absorbed. MMMMmmm.

I've only had turkey roasted in the oven, with a stuffing (dressing) in the interior of the bird. Gravy (sauce) is made from the pan drippings, with broth and herbs. It's delicious, and the stewed version sounds very good, too.

very traditional American ... baked turkey with stuffing. Stuffing recipes vary by regions of the country. Oyster dressing is common in the North and cornbread dressing is an old Southern stand by. Although, a smoked or deep fried turkey is also delicious.

Fried in a turkey fryer. It is awsome. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

I like to smoke mine on a charcoal grill the skin is very crisp and you taste the grilled flavor all the way through - plus it is very juicy

baked, with stuffing added toward the end. I also like to roast some veggies in the same pan along with it.

We inject ours with Creole butter and fry it whole. It's so delicious. It's sort of taste like roasted pork or cochon de lait. 2D
