“In the Navy he became a submariner, serving in both the Atlantic and Pacific fleets and rising to the rank of lieutenant. Chosen by Admiral Hyman Rickover for the nuclear submarine program, he was assigned to Schenectady, N.Y., where he took graduate work at Union College in reactor technology and nuclear physics, and served as senior officer of the pre-commissioning crew of the Seawolf, the second nuclear submarine.”

President Carter also has written 17 books.
And is a Nobel Peach Prize winner.
And still this goober comes on every single day to disrespect him.

It can be the only answer. He went to school with him and Government Cheese was the class dork! He's never gotten over it.

President Carter has done more as an ex-President than many Presidents have done in their whole term.

Human rights, eradicating river blindness, monitor elections,Teaches Sunday school as he has done throughout his life including when he was in the navy and being President, habitat for humanity we can go on and on.

This one person has made a positive difference in so many peoples lives and the betterment of humanity it's unfortunate that politics are so ugly.

The Person that writes the nasty comments is just a frustrated person that won't make a difference in this world and when all that is left of us and this century President Carter will be in the pages of time he will be remembered fondly .
There won't be anything written or remembered about people that spent their time writing negative comments.

Yes, I do know that. As a matter of fact, he still works in Schenectady, NY at the Karros Atomic Power Laboratory as an escort for uncleared contractors. I have installed office furniture in there several times and he just sits there all day ranting about President Carter.

I like "crossingover's" comments about Jimmy Carter. It's alway good to be civil and to not bad mouth people. Yet, the negative thing about Carter is that many people didn't like him, people in Congress and average voters. His position on issues were unrealistic and out there in left field, so nobody liked him. Carter's successes therefore came from small programs and a few big ones that were not controversial and Carter got credit for those. Carter should not be recognized as a great US President. He should be fairly recognized for who is is and what he has done in relationship to the nation. His peace initiatives were in far-left field and he could have done much to further democratic freedoms and justice in the world, but by his own choosing, believe it or not, he REFUSED to help or foster such measures during his term in office and he should, also, be remembered by those things. His foreign policy failures and by things which the press had failed to cover!

Jimmy Carter is proof positive that "the TRUTH shall indeed make you bullet proof. " The mans virtuous life style is a testament of what positive repercussions may ensue from living the golden rule (do unto others as you would have them do unto you) and putting the needs of others before yourself.
Because Carter is so widely respected & loved by so many, he is imperviouse to negative criticism. The mans character shines so bright, he can't be tarnished. Mere words cannot touch him. He dosen't even need to speak to defend himself, his actions have already spoken volumes. Anyone presumptuouse enough to pass negative judgement on brother Jimmy Carter can only sound foolish

Govt Cheese is not a school classmate of Carter's... he's just a weird guy who seems frustrated that Carter is not homosexual because he wants to have sex with the former president.

I mean if you REALLY disliked the man you just wouldn't obsess over him like GC is doing.

Sounds reasonable. I don't pay too much attention to the cheezy remarks he makes, only a rat would give him any more than a sniff.

Something like that---why else would one man be so obsessed with another?

I just wonder if he knows that his ignorant rants bring more positive attention to Jimmy Carter (in the small realm of people he intentionally annoys on here).

that could very well be true.

I know someone for example, who went to school with someone who later became a musician. One day back in school, the musician tripped my friend in the hallway. My friend has refused to donate any money towards the musician's career (buying albums, going to the band's shows) simply because of that.
