My husband's ex-girlfriend is exotic dancer in go-go bar. I'm so shocked when I find out. I thought he will be more picky. He never told me until now. Any chance he will leave me and find other go-go girl again? Are they always after his money? He doesn't has money. Sometimes he goes out and drinking with his friend in those bar. Anyway, she's no longer here and move out of state. Still, i'm so trilled to find out this. I thought he will be more picky.

He always take me to those bars with him most of the time. First I was so uncomfortable but time past by, i'm ok. I know some are good but some are gold digger but I never thought a man like him will ever date one of them. He confess he's so depress, lonely and vulnerable at that point. Now he set a rule, never ever date a go-go girl again. We are happily married and he's happy he found me, the love of his life. He said those girls has very low self-esteem and a lot of issues. Most of them always want $$$ and nothing else.

More picky? Have you seen some of those dancers in a go go bar? Some of them are absolutely gorgeous. They have great bodies and wear next to nothing to attract the customers. I have a friend who is now a successful psychologist who has written a few books that have been published about abused children. When she was at University, she was a topless waitress. It was a means to an end. She needed money for her tuition. I doubt very much being a go go dancer is a career that people will follow for the rest of their lives. Regardless of what a person does, they have a personality. A go go dancer obviously has the looks and the body to do that kind of thing, but dont forget she is a person too. Only your husband knows why he was attracted to her. He married you, be happy about that.

I used to sale insurance to a number of strip clubs. I was about the only one who would go into these places, but I only when before they were open so the girls were always dressed. The girls I met, for the most par, were very polite and were doing what they did to support their kids. I personally don’t agree with the decision they made, but other then what they did on stage, they seemed very nice to me. Personally, I never understood how people will down someone if they have never walked in that persons shoes. Just like Elvis says, “Walk a mile in my shoes”
And I never visit my clients while they work, or other then business purposes did I see them. This kept the relationship on a professional level.

He married you and he is happy he did. Sometimes the dancers can be someone who needs to make money to get through school or to take care of a child they are raising on their own. I particularly don't have any problem with women who do that it's their body and they can do what they want. Don't be so quick to judge someone because of what they do. Your husband made a bad decision once but since then he met you and now you are married. If you love him then don't question his past. He marrried you cause he loves you and you are the positive thing in his life. Foget about the past and concentrate on the future you two can build.

What do you mean more picky?
If a woman can make a living dancing topless she must look pretty good. Whats not picky? Oh, you probably think she is cheap somehow.
I think you will find that stripping is a job and has nothing to do with their relationships away from that job.
Many dancers go home to very average households. As for money, she probably made more than him and did not need his money only his affection.

I'm sorry - your "Queen Elizabeth the first" hair-do distracted me.
What were you saying?
Oh - he dated a stripper. That's right.
Well, while an overwhelming majority of those women were abused as girls, that doesn't mean they are of questionable character now. Although one wonders about the emotional health and well-being of any woman who has to resort to selling her body in some form as her only means of income.
Why not STOP WONDERING & GO WITH HIM NEXT TIME?
See what all the fuss is about.
For even MORE fun, don't tell him you are going and show up unannounced about 30 minutes after he gets there. See him in his natural environment, so to speak. You'll learn a LOT!

Look at your prejudices. Will you take your child to a priest for one on one councilling knowing that you have a 50% chance that the priest is a molestor. An exotic dancer is not necessarily a bad person. Many are, but it is not 100%. Give one or the other of them the benifit of the doubt. If you find out otherwise, cut his balls off.

chick, what do you know about dancers ???? let my inform you. they have families, they dont go home with patrons, they put themselves through college to become doctors, lawyers, and dentists. they make more money than the average person, and yes, they have a bad name for what they do, because most of us women never actually took the time to find out what they dont do. thats not to say that there are some out there who do some things that are illegal or worse, but for the most part, people are very much uninformed! and if your husband and the guys are going to those bars, guess what, they are going home alone!

There's nothing wrong with being an exotic dancer. It's a legal profession, and women from all walks of life have become exotic dancers. Usually it's just a means to pay the bills for younger women until they find another career.

Well there are cheesy strippers and there are strippers that have a plan they are trying to achieve. Most strippers are not bad people. I have a couple of friends that strip to pay their way through college. They don't talk to the customers outside the bar and yes all they want is the money. That's why they are doing it. . .for the money.

I've actually known a couple of women that were strippers. The one was a skank, but the other one was a mother of 2 and she could make in one night dancing what it would take a week to earn doing anything else. She danced 2-3 nights a week. She was as normal and level headed as anyone else I know. She was a really good mom too. You can't really judge a person's character on that.
