Until Ohio State loses a game, they deserve the top spot. They're an undefeated team in a major conference, and have dominated opponents all season.
If not Ohio State, then I'd probably go with LSU. I get annoyed by all the SEC fans on here, but the Tigers are a great team in a very strong conference. Oregon has looked good, but they don't deserve the top spot because they lost a game earlier in the season. For now, it's the Buckeyes.

I'm a Duck, but I think OSU deserves it for now.
We lost, period. Yes, it was a fumble-out-of-the-end-zone, but still a loss. Cal was a very good team until Longshore got hurt (in the Oregon game). No way they would have survived OT in Eugene without a healthy Longshore.
I think it should be OSU, KU, Oregon, LSU -- right now.
When Michigan and Georgia take care of OSU and LSU, then it will be Oregon vs. the Big XII champ.
And the way #2 keeps loosing, I wouldn't want to be #2 until the final poll/ranking.

Ohio State! They have no losses...
Other teams to consider Oregon lost to a average Cal, Kansas, if they win out and the Big 12 championship should have a shot to play the Bucks, LSU is a strong consideration, if they win the SEC championship game but have a loss.
Based on BCS - Ohio State Vs LSU

I'm not a genius or anything, but with Oregon losing this year already and Ohio St. still undefeated I would think that the team that's undefeated would be #1. Apparently the polls agree with me. Until Ohio St. loses they will remain #1. LSU may have had the tougher schedule, but Ohio State has been killing everyone whereas LSU has been barely beating their opponents as of late. If Michigan beats Ohio St. then you'll have 8 teams with one loss and it would be up in the air. That is of course Kansas can stay undefeated and then you'll have a real controversy on your hands.

I think the most overrated team this year is LSU, they BARELY won 3 games, (Florida, Auburn, Bama) they have weaknesses.
Ohio State started at 11, nobody complained, then the top 10 teams lost, so there is why ohio state should be and is #1. also, if anybody takes the time to watch the bucks play, they will see that their quarterback makes great passes, they have the best Linebacker tandem in the league with Laurintes and Freeman, plus, they have a great offense that after losing a heisman winner and 2 first round WRs, they look better than last year!
we will win the championship against LSU. Florida was a big eye opener, and Tressle is the best coach in the game

Ohio State deserves to be #1, they are undefeated in a BCS conference.
I'm not sure why Kansas is not #2, they should be for the same reason as above. I think Ohio State's past history as an outstanding program helps them here, and hurts Kansas.
Oregon should be #3, more convincing wins against good teams.
Oklahoma should be #4, one loss but blowing out their opponents. Iowa State raised a few questions though.
LSU should be #5, one loss, but a lot of close calls.

why would a one loss Oregon team deserve to be ahead of OSU?
and why must you mention Florida State in every question?
your answer.....Ohio State
and as usual, I agree with Craig
the SEC fans are annoying in general, but LSU would be the only team I'd even think about considering putting ahead of OSU

i think of that maximum folk might extremely see a one loss team interior the Championship activity over an undefeated Boise State. despite the fact that, maximum folk do no longer prefer to verify a rematch. If the only undefeated communities as nicely Houston are LSU & Boise State, then i think of a one loss Oklahoma might play interior the Championship activity. What if Oklahoma beats Oklahoma State, yet by some potential loses yet another activity and finally ends up with 2 losses. i think of in that difficulty, issues could be so difficult and there could be plenty controversy, that Boise State might probable play interior the Championship activity via default. A consensus does no longer be reached on who could play LSU and so people will throw up their arms and say, "What the hell. enable's pass forward and supply Boise State their shot". they might probable lose to LSU via 40 factors and all this Boise State communicate will finally come to an end.

oregon playing the 3rd hardest schedule in the country. oregon has played 4 top 25 teams and when they played them they were all in the top 10 and 3 of them were in the top 5. it goes without saying that oregon is clearly the number 1 team in the country. once again i will say that ohio state has played NO ONE all year and does not deserve even top 5 consideration. the title game should be number 1 oregon and number 2 oklahoma no ifs ands or buts. oh yea and oklahoma fans get over the bad call 2 years ago every game has bad and good calls we will rip your lips off this year too.

Ohio State, obviously. They're undefeated-- why shouldn't they deserve to be number one?
It's not "having their year". It's being good and being able to beat everyone else they play. If Oregon isn't undefeated, why should they be number one?
