I'm in a class with two seperate parts. Lets call them part a and part b.

Part A=80% of grade
I got 290/330 points

Part B=20% of grade
I got 90/105 points

What will I get overall?

0.8(290/330) + 0.2(90/105) = 87.4%

290 + 90 = 380
330 + 105 = 435

Divide 380/435 = overall grade of 87% ☺ yay!

your grade is (.80)(290/330) +(.20)(90/105)

this, of course, assumes that the teacher making up the grades undersands what it means to give weights of 80% and 20% ;)

(290/330)*.8 + (90/105)*.2 = .87445 = 87.4%

For part A, you will get 70.30 and for Part B, you will get 17.14
So the total is 87.44
