The Jews were transported by trains and cattle cars. They were packed in very tightly. Some never even made it to the concentration camps. Some were separated from their families and put into groups of women and men. They would have them all remove their clothing and stand in front of a big whole dug into the ground and were shot, even the children. As they fell into these mass graves some were still alive, and buried that way.
