My man was very discreet the first 3-4 months we dated. Then he started coming to my place and after a few days he started passing gas, first only in the bathroom, now (1 year later) it's just anywhere and even in front of me. Sometimes he apologizes but most of the times he'll just let it pass, maybe pretending I didn't hear it or didn't care (I've never made a single comment about it, and even though I understand it's normal and I need to fart sometimes too, I honestly don't like it very much). I don't do it in front of him, I feel too embarrased... I can't help it if I'm in the bathroom and I know he can hear it cuz my place is small, but that's what the bathroom is for. I don't like him going all around the house and farting in the kitcken, in the room, etc... but he can't help it, so I don't give him a hard time because of that. However, I always avoid it.... in any case, mine are always very discreet while his are a bit more noisy. But what the heck.... there are more important things to worry about!
Would you answer my question?

I don't do it either. I was in labor with my daughter and would send him on an errand just so I could let it out when he wasn't around.
It was pounded into my head that lady's just don't do that around other people. Maybe a little too much......I'm sure my husband wouldn't care if I did. He does it constantly. I'm like you. He is my best friend and we talk about everything, but I just can't fart in front of him. lol... (we've been together 10 years, so I don't see it changing any time soon)

I do. I mean, don't misunderstand.. I don't sit around the house, farting all day.. but if I have to, I'm certainly not going to hold it in just so my husband will think I'm "lady-like" or whatever.
I don't care what anyone says.. everybody farts, it's really not that big of a deal.

It's best not to hold it back, the gases are absorbed into the blood stream. 80% don't smell. The rest aren't that bad and the SBD's can be traced back to diet and avoided. Revulsion to farting is more of a societal, cultural thing.

I do. Why not? It's a bodily function. I have learned that men actually seem to appreciate that we are like them. They don't like mystery. When it comes to sex (which bodily functions are closely related to), I also believe in being open. Men like to inspect. I let them look over and poke and prod whatever they want to. And it seems to help them feel that they "own" your body more. It may sound sick but they love it.
So farting, peeing, burping, whatever... I don't try and hide it. I'm human. Maybe if women wouldn't be so prissy (no offense) about stuff, men would be more comfortable.

Its not gross, its human nature and normal. My boyfriend is very proud of his farts and apparently a lot of other people are too because this question has been asked many times.

He always fart in front of me. don't really care. I think I did fart once and i was coughing so it came in instance. He burst out laughing because I feel so shy farting in front of him. He eyes were wide open when i did that. I still feel embarrassed. But when he saw i am embarrased he gave me a tight hug and said that you don't need to embarrass honey. you are still beautiful in my eyes.

I have a feeling you haven't been married very long. Being able to fart in front of your husband is really a part of trust. It sounds strange, I know, but it's true. It took me a few years to be able to fart in front of my husband, and although I don't really like to do it, it's healthier to go ahead and do it. He doesn't make fun of me unless I make fun of myself first. It really can be just another source of laughter between husband and wife. Try it and see what happens.

Most women feel they cant fart in front of their spouse. Its a woman thing I reckon. Its kinda uncool for a woman to fart in public, but acceptable for a man. Double standards I guess. I have farted in front of him by mistake...sometimes you just cant help it. I felt a little bit embarrassed, but he just laughed it off.
