Yes, they will dissolve. I had a 4th degree episiotomy and mine took about 4 weeks to fully dissolve. Sometimes, after wiping, you'll see something like dental floss on the paper..that's the stitches. To help them dissolve faster, try doing sitz baths.

If you had to have an episiotomy from vaginal birth and you are talking about those stitches, yes, they are disolvable. They will all dissolve at different times possibly, and you may wipe and notice a stitch being on the toilet paper or even in the toilet. When you go to your 6 week check up the stitches should be gone!

Which stitches? For a C-section or for an episiotomy. The episiotomy stitches are disolvable. They may or may not be disolvable for the c-section incision. It depends what the doctor prefers. Simply call your doctor and ask him/her. They should have informed you how to care for your incision site prior to being discharged from the hospital.

OMG you poor thing! Yes they are dissolvable, don't worry if they take a while to dissolve - mine took 4 weeks. Add some lavender drops to your bath - it will speed up the healing process. You will need to add five drops to a small amount of milk and then put it in your bath. Trust me it works.
I'm talking about an episotomy - not sure about c-section stitches.

Yes they are - I had 20, and they were gone by my 6 week check. Never had the coming away on toilet paper thing, but it sounds normal. Congrats! :) Oh and if you feel sore, and have bruising like I did - then arnica cream is amazing - not only does it speed up the healing process it's also really soothing :)

Yes, they should be, but you can always call your doc and check the hospital report for your c-section to find out what kind they used for your, but they should be disolvable.

Yep, any stitches you get after giving birth will just dissolve. You're doctor would have told you when to go back to get them out if they weren't.

Yes they are. And yes, I know what you're going through! Nobody prepares you for the agony after childbirth, let alone during. I am still traumatised and my little one is 2 now!

Poor you ! They should dissolve over time. Just try not to do too much. Perhaps enjoy a bath, that might help? Take care
