Or will the move the premire to a later date to ensure a nonstop run? I'd rather have a couple reruns than have to wait any longer for a new Lost.

Regarding Lost:
There is a contract for 48 more episodes over 3 more seasons, so they will be made no matter what.
8 out of the 16 episodes of the next season have been completed, so worst case scenario is that they air the first 8 eps then have a hiatus while the remaining 8 are made.

Regarding 24, don't care lol

With 6 shows already filmed and a couple of greater scripts finished misplaced is in a sturdy spot. The teach is presently set to air February sixth. What this potential is two issues: the 1st component is that assuming the manufacturers will opt for approximately 8 weeks to get a high quality offering written and shot (that's in all probability conservative) the writers strike will would desire to pass 3 months previously the teach is impacted in any respect. the 2nd is that the community would opt for to go the date to a top classification spot via fact many or maximum shows would be harm badly by way of that element. ABC would additionally opt for to run repeats of the 1st 3 seasons to fill slots of their different shows that are harm by way of the strike. Come February misplaced would have gained visitors and be in the situation of airing a high quality first run sequence. it would purely be the only teach on the city.

odds are that the shows that run in january and february have started filming a couple months in advance, at the least. I'm thinking that, depending on the length of the strike, the shows may continue on their regular schedule. 24 will have a couple months, and im guessing the same with Lost. both favorites of mine. as long as they don't show the premiere and then do reruns. i couldnt imagine it. watching some crazy Lost premiere and then stuck with a month before a new one. i would go crazy.

Both shows probably had stockpiled (ordered a bunch of scripts written and put in reserve) scripts in anticipation of the WGA strike. In the case of Lost, the entire final season had already been written months ago.

24 starts in January, and the most of the first part of the season has already been filmed, so hopefully everything will be resolved before it causes any major problems

they probably will because as far as i know (and this is refering to lost), they have been taping and writing all along...just are holding out on airing because there are so few episodes and they don't want to take a break mid season and lose the audience like last season.

24 won't start until mid January so there is still hope for that one.
