i am doing a science fair project on that question and i kinda need an idea of what im doing

Another No - that's completely untrue. Water bottles are made from untreated sterilized polymers, that contain no plasticizers. There is no danger of the polymer dissolving in the water, and there are no additives in the polymer that can leach into the water.
