What is the literary term for a character's name that reflects moral consciousness of the character? For example, Young Goodman Brown by Nathaniel Hawthorne. The character is a "good man" -- he is noble and courageuous, which is implied by his name. Is there a term for this?

I don't think there is a specific word that fit such a use. The best I could come up with is 'symbolic name' or 'emblematic name'.
