yesterday I went christmas shopping and on my return my key did not work in the lock (I thought my bf had changed the locks lol)

On closer inspection my front door key was bent! I have no idea how, it was either in my handbag or car ignition the whole time I was out.

Today, on my return from work, the key to the main front door at my flat was the same, again it had either been in my bag or car ignition.

There is nothing in my bag that could have done this, indeed my office keys are in there and are all fine!

What is happening to my keys?

(I am not Uri Gellar as my bf helpfully suggested!)

I have a problem with the electrical part of my heart and i bend keys when it flares up due to too much 'energy' in my body.

I also set of alarms in shops, crashes computers etc. Sounds funny but it becomes a bore after a while! I’m thinking about becoming a magician. Only think is I can’t control it!

Therefore if it there’s no other explanation perhaps an ECG might be wise.

More likely reason though, you sure you’re not putting bag down near a radiator? Most work places are turning on the heaters now so you might not realised your normal bag spot is not a hot spot!

I think when you twisted the key around inside the lock, that's when it bent, is it cold there? cause, sometimes, when the weather is cold, the locks freeze up, and the " inner circular turning lock thing"( whatever the hell it's called) in the middle of the lock sticks to the "outer circular lock thing", then when you force the turn mechanism, the key bent inside the lock. the person that was just playing with that molecular metal answer wasn't that far off, we use copper keys because they're good conductors of heat, in the event of lock freeze...(Hey girl, what's a Uri Gellar?)

LOL what on earth are people talking about, you sat on it? Look at the size of a key and look at the size of even the slimest back side. You bum would sit flat on the whole key lol. Although i laugh at this suggestion I dont have an answer for you myself sorry lol

I don't know, but maybe you just have some kind of magnetic thing going on like I must have - my back door key did the same not very long ago, but thankfully it still works! Was bloody wierd though!! :P

clearly ,your bag is infested with key workers
these are an invisible group of people, who's stated aim is to assist different groups, but when needed are nowhere to be found
they are whiling away their working hours abusing your keys
a simple way to eradicate this phenomena is to tell them that there is an announced inspection next week
they will scurry back to their designated places, in a vain attempt to put their own house in order
hope this helps

Something so natural only had happened to get your keys to twist but thinking that something strange has happened by some heavenly intervention is false and fully absurd!

With the way cars are made today I'd guess that they are made of a really cheap metal.

Maybe you bent it whilst trying to unlock the door.

Its probably due to the fact that the metal being used is really cheap.
