i have been ill the past few days so i have not been to work. i have been in my pyjamas for three days straight and my nipples are becoming very tender and sore...is this only because they rub against my baggy clothing or is it something else..?

Yep, because they're rubbing against your clothing all the time the material is irritating them. Wear a bra and they should sort themselves out. The only other thing I can think of is if you're coming up to your period, they can get sore then too.

Your pajamas rubbing against your nipples could absolutely make them sore. Try wearing a day bra under your pajama top, or a sports bra if it's comfortable enough. If not, (I know this sounds funny) put a bandaid on each nipple along with some neosporin. Once you're well again, and wearing a bra as usual, I'm sure this will go away. Good luck.

it depends what you are ill with, if its the flu or something similar your body will probably be weaker thus more sensitive so this could be the cause for sore nipples. unless of course theres a chance youre pregnant, im having the same thing and could be pregnant. see your gp.

you have hit the nail on the head!! the reason we wear bras is to stop this happening, but obviously when youre not well, you just want to laze about and let it all hang out! because you are so used to wearing a bra, this is why you havent noticed this before.
it is recommended that even when men are jogging, they were plasters on their nipples or apply vaseline to stop friction and prevent getting painful nips!
hope this has helped

Pregnancy and menstrual periods cause sore nipples.

You may just be particularly sensitive at the moment because your immune system is low or because of the fabric that your clothes are made from.

Yes its possible. Use cream like E45 and either go naked or use very large pieces of lint and elastoplast for a while.

You might be pregnant - unless you were running a marathon in your PJs they are unlikely to chafe.
