I really need help - i am making a costume for a stage production and I cannot find anything on google - the closest i got was images of Anne Hathaway and Lindsay Lohan.
The problem is that I need to find a balloon line dress and the only ones I've see so far have not been round enough and look really deflated - i am making it out of light blue satin - please help.

Also: The only place where I have found the exact image is in a german book called Clothing Technology.

You can stuff it with tulle to keep it pouffed out. Any dress with a wide skirt will work, You just gather the bottom. It's the stuffing that will keep it pouffed out though.

OK, couple of things. First - thank you from a crossdresser. Thanks for being kind and thoughtful and open minded. This would be a much nicer world with more people that had a spark of compassion. Next thing - I think it's an awesome idea! Your brother should be able to understand that the Bride is the star of the wedding. Nothing should distract from her special day - the day SHE is supposed to be the princess. Let's face it, having him there cross dressed would have been a major distraction, so your decision to not allow that to happen at the wedding can be understood. Your now offering to give him the dress and spend the time to help make it special by having pics taken with you in your gown is a VERY thoughtful and kind gesture. Even if he declines and says "nah, don't worry about it", he will KNOW that you thought about him, that you cared, and that you tried to make him happy. I think it's an awesome gesture. :-)

You make a tube skirt the length you want and overlay the top longer gathered skirt (Make it as long as you want it to puff out i.e. much longer than the tube makes it puff out heaps) Gather the bottom of the gathered skirt into the tube at the bottom, filling it with tulle if you want it to be really round.
