Liberals, Socialists and people who depend on the government for their income want higher taxes for the rest. Also remember the IRS is not at fault for taxes, it is your elected officials in the government (SENATORS) that make the laws that the IRS must obey, don't shoot the messenger, shoot the politicians.

OK we are rid of the IRS. What does this mean? No more taxes? Then how do we pay for the services taxes bring us? Ron would like to see everything paid for at the state and local level. Any idea what that would cost you in state and local taxes? No, you don't. Some states would not make it. The poor states where the wages are lowest could not maintain schools, police or fire protection. Property owners would be taxed into bankruptcy. As would businesses. Could not keep up their roads. Be careful of what you and Ron want.

The IRS has never destroyed my dreams nor the dreams of anyone I know. What they have done is collected needed revenue to pay for things like our defence, infrastructure, park and wildlife management, programs that provide treatment for wounded military personnel and much much more. Congress has misspent some of it but that is our fault for not expressing our disapproval of pork barrel spending.
No one likes to pay taxes and Americans are among the least taxed people in the world yet we probably complain more about paying taxes than about anyone else.
Beware of Ron Paul, a wolf in sheep's clothing. His pie-in-the-sky ideas may look good on the surface but if they were ever implemented the result would be truly disasterous. .

I do not know about the IRS destroying dreams. I had a tax issue when I got out of the Army. They where willing to give me extension, time to get the issue solved. They where never anything but polite to me. As long as you do not try to cheat on your taxes they leave you alone.

I am against you not knowing more about the IRS and doing no homework or research whatsoever.
A mind is a terrible thing to waste. . . Don't waste it by pledging allegiance to Ron Paul.

Because the wants to get rid of ALL federal government agencies. Like watching TV? Yeah, don't plan on it when the FCC goes away. Like flying safely (the US has by far the safest aviation in the world)? Not after the FAA is gone. Want secure borders? Not after the DHS is dismantled. Lots of ideas, no plan.

Ron Paul is a conspiracy theorists dream. His polices are completely flawed. The IRS manages the companies tax income. By getting rid of this, he would cause great chaos. If you don't cheat on your taxes, the IRS leaves you alone.

Sorry Skippy, that would be the ones that CREATE the laws. The IRS merely enforces then and collects the taxes due according to those laws.
Now, if he wanted to abolish congress, well......
