In your opinion, what's the best place to ski, snowboard, ice skate and shop in the United States or Canada? I want to go on a trip with my family this Febuary and there are so many choices...thanks!

Personally, I think Vail, CO is the best place in North America. I snowboard and have been to Vail several times. Everytime I go it just keeps getting bigger. You can't do the entire mountain in one day. You need at least 2 days there. Have fun!!

Mt. Hood, Mt. Baker, Mt. Bachelor, Whistler, and a bunch of small mountains in the NW for their backcountry.

Btw, Park City DOES allow snowboarders. I don't know when the last time that one hobbit guy got up there, but they are known for having one of the best snowboard parks in the country. Some of the biggest pro-snowboarders ride there, including Shaun White, Jeremy Jones, and Marc Frank Montoya.

bigger doesn't mean better. i don't love vail, though i don't really want to "be seen" and that is the main thing about vail. the back bowls are highly over rated. i don't know your family dynamics, but i'd consider snowmass or steamboat.
