He was labeled a great coach for taking Ty's team and winning with it. Now that he has recruited players they are 1-8 and they are not really as good as their record. He got a big contract and know how to keep the racist at ND happy.

Charlie Weis knows what he is doing. He is trying to call the right plays to make his team win, it isnt his fault his players suck. That is the thing about sports today. So much blame is placed on the managers or coaches. They can't tell their players what to do every second. They can't tell their recievers to catch the ball, they are expected to catch the ball, but they don't a lot of the time. The blame can only be shared between Charlie Weis, and his shitty Notre Dame players.

He knows how to cash a check thats about it.
He underachieved with the so called "heisman" candidate quinn and the supposed to be ranked Irish for the last 2 years. Now this year comes around and everybody blames it on Wilingham's recruits. Thats BS. Weis has lead the team down the tubes, they should have kept Ty.

Well, yes and no.
He has flat out coaching ability. Problem is, he doesn't have the horses to stay competitive, and he doesn't know how to best utilize the horses that he has. There aren't many strengths that he can accentuate. As more and more 4 and 5-star horses arrive, things will get much, much better, and he'll be able to accentuate more strengths. A 10-win season two years from now would not be a surprise.

If his "job" is making sure he gets a table every night at an eatery in the greater South Bend area... then the answer is yes.
As far as coaching the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, it looks as though he's a little bit in over his head.

He got himself locked into a ten year contract. Therefore, I would say the man is a genius and Notre Dame administration was on drugs at the time they extended his contract. As far as a football coach, he really hasn't shown me much.

He sure knows how to find the best all you can eat buffets. Give him a break already. Maybe he is trying to get away from his roots(under Belicheat) and win without cheating.

Yes, one of the best in the business. No one is better than he is...wait, you do mean at taking a lot of talent and turning that into a lackluster team?
