I started putting together a dresser, but got distracted and now it seems like I can't get motivated to finish it. Which got me wondering; Have you started something you can't-won't-didn't finish?

There will be many things started by many and left over in the middle. This happens and relates to Motivation, which you have correctly identified. Many of the works for our home, for us get the motivation disappear as time pases by.
But if we propose to do something not for us, but someone else's help, there will be motivation to complete it , no sooner you complete it, the beneficial can start using it. This kind of need will make us not discontinue what we started.
I hope you agree. If it is other's work we never stop it, but complete it.

Procrastination is an art form for me. I at times can not get motivated to start something . But finishing what ever it is I have been doing can be like torture to start again.

My cookbook database seems like I'll never finish it. All the books are in and I just need to fine tune it.
Being on Y!A all the time doesn't help either.

Completely cleaning my house.... I start...but I NEVER finish...and by the time I get back to it it looks just as bad as when I started.

once i tried to start a giant mural on the side of an office building but after a few minutes I took the paint buckets and threw them on some parked cars and ran away.
