Maudsie.....Perhaps she is the one whom needs the most help.... Often people who are like that, really are trying to call out to those around them for help. My mother was very much like that, she killed herself April 2006.

As for the answer, If I won a million dollars, I would probably just invest it in order to make more money, then I would be able to help anyone who needed it. So no one would receive help at first, but eventually I would help everyone out. Everyone needs help once in a while, even if you disagree or dislike that person. If you have had a lot of luck, you should pass it around, karma says it will come back to you again.

Logical question to your question: Just how far do you think $1 million will go? What if you have a lot of relatives? For me, of course there are quite a few I won't help. Not because they don't deserve any, rather I need some left over for myself! That's not being selfish, it's being realistic.

If you won a Million dollars, you would suddenly find yourself with more relatives than you thought you ever had. Your Thirty-third cousin would suddenly find you needing somethind, like a sex change for her dog.

My stepsister is someone I wouldn't help (save the boos to the peanut gallery). She has been battling drug/alcohol addictions for her entire life (and yes refusing help offered on too many occasions to even mention). To me, giving her money would be like buying her a block of cocaine and a case of whiskey as well as a casket, because that's just where she'd end up after using the money for selfish reasons. Sigh, am I a bad person?

It isn't relatives that I would reach out to, though I would turn none away if they really needed help (they don't). What I would is put the money into ministry. It is one of my greatest desires to start a discipleship training center.

Well, since my family has put the " fun " in dysfunctional, there would only be 3 close relatives that I would help . My Mom, my daughter, and my terrific Nephew .

I would only give $$ to my children (pay off their mortgages) and my siblings that needed some help. When the others came out of the woodwork looking for a handout I'd tell them it was all gone...which in all probability it would be.

I would give each family member 1000 dollars and leave the country with no forwarding address
