the defensive pass interference calls and the offensive one on randy moss in the endzone for example.

the penalties were way one sided and when looking at replays of those mentioned above it was obvious that the call was wrong

yes, the no call on kevin faulk was also crap. yes there may be holding but that goes on on both sides of the ball. make up calls shouldnt be called because it makes the officials look inconsistent and it makes them wrong twice rather than once. maybe moss does push off in other games but he didn't in this one and he didn't when he was called for it. why if the indianapolis receiver literally runs over the defender is the defender at fault? they both have right to the ball especially if the defender is in better position to get it.

if the ball is tipped prior to any contact between the two players there is no interference.
that might be why there was no offensive pass interference on dallas clark.

the closer the score is the higher the ratings are and the more money CBS and the NFL make.
if that was their intention...kudos to them for achieving that.

you know...when youre blocking like the player that got the unsportsmanlike call was youre not really paying attention to where the out of bounds line is. yes he should've been penalized because he was obviously committing a penalty whether he meant to or not.

and i would like you to show me one receiver who doesn't push off to get separation. they all do it. some more noticably(moss) than others.
and I am a COWBOYS fan in case you're wondering.
i also officiate high school football and i personally thought the officiating in the pats/colts game was pathetic.

oh and shelby...what do you suppose the NE player should have done? let the indy player run back onto the field and make the tackle because he isn't allowed to block him anymore?

and yes i understand there are wishy-washy calls in every game. but rarely are there multiple questionable calls made in favor of one team in such an obvious area of the field. sure holding is called sometimes inconsistently but that is a lot harder to see than an interference call. people in the nose bleeds at the RCA dome could tell it was crap.

Outrageous. Even the CBS announcers agreed that the officials blew it twice. This crew had better hear from the NFL asst commissioner for officiating. On the biggest stage of the season so far to call two such egregriously erroneous plays was just wrong.

Well...in the Dallas & NE game there were like 12 penalties against Dallas and 3 against New England, IN DALLAS so...who knows. Patriots fans just need to shut up. Accusing the Colts of cheating is pretty stupid when NE does it all the time too. They're always holding which is why Brady always has enough time, Moss always pushes off to get separation, they run up the score and continue to do so when it's like 52-0, videotaping their opponents, they've been accused of tampering with the headsets or w/e that their opponent's defense uses...So they really have no room to whine about ANYTHING, especially since they won. And especially since everybody in the NFL and every sports analyst kisses their *** anyway

Are you kidding me. And I suppose the Unsportsmanship call was favored for the Colts too. How he kept pushing and pushing the Colts player when he was already out of bounds. The Pats played a team that they could compete with of course there were going to be calls like that.
Oh and what about the NE offensive lineman Light who tripped Freeney because he couldnt stop him. Was that not supposed to be called either.
Ok I have to go back and agree if the call wasnt over then yeah maybe he should of kept blocking.. but obviously he knew he was out of bounds when you are clearly pushing another player into the bench on the sideline.

The penaltie calls favored the Colts 10-2. I think the NFL loves Manning and the Colts and Hate Brady and the Patriots. Randy Moss is the biggest most Physical WR in the NFL so of course it looks like he may commit Pass Interferene, but he really doesn't. On the other hand the Pats got really lucky. Manning fumbled, Harrison and Ugoh didnt play and Gonzalez dropped a touchdown. The Colts proved that the Pats could be beat, but its they may be the only team that can do it.

I quite have considered him like that till now in different video games and he did ok. Oh, merely simply by fact somebody comments that some gamers had the flu are crybabies is in common terms a stupid remark. have you ever had the flu?? could your sorry butts have the potential to get available and do what they did???? you are able to relax assured the Patriots lost the sport itself, the Colts did no longer win it simply by fact they have been super. i'm no longer a crybaby, i'm a real fan and characteristic the commonsense to understand whilst my team loses simply by their faults or wins simply by fact of the different communities faults. massive distinction and a real fan will understand the version. there is often next year, bypass Pats! Oh, the deer interior the pinnacle easy remark, this is pelosi, she has that look each and every of the time.

I think one of the pass interference calls was incorrect but I noticed they did not call an obvious one on the Pats. I also saw a lot of holding calls that the Pats got away with. So, I would say the Pats did pretty well in the officiating arena.

The Pats beat two teams yesterday. The Colts and the Zebras.
How about the play when Rodney Harrison was going for an INT in the 1st quarter and was tackled by #44 Dallas Clark but no Offensive Pass interfereance was called.
There was play in the 1st qtr where Addai ran for about 15 yards, Pats O Lineman Logan Mankins was trying to go after Addai but a Colts line man was holding him from behind and had his arms around his waist. The guy let go of Mankins as Addai ran past him but there was no flag from the refs. .

Everyone who watches enough Randy Moss knows that he pushes off almost every throw in the endzone. He has done it his whole career, from the Vikes to now. The call was a make up call for the one missed earlier.
Moss usually gets away with this, so I have no problem with him getting a little payback.
The interference calls on the Pats were close calls.
The one bad blown call was the Faulk no-call interference.
Calls have a way of evening out. Several years ago Pats DBs held Marvin Harrison on every pass route, and it was never called.
I wouldn't say there was much "homerism" overall. After all, there were two big penalites on the Colts line late in the game. One hold that was debatable and one false start that could have gone against the Pats for jumping into the zone. Those plays were just as big as the one's that went the Colts way
It all comes out in the wash, and it takes away from the greatness of the game to bring referee calls into it.

This forum is full of questions like that. Most people ( except the blind faithful) in Indy seem to agree that the officiating was horrendous. Interesting on the NF L's biggest stage except the Superbowl. It was pretty obvious the NFL had an interest in facilitating a Colts win if not on the field at least they covered the point spread.

The best no-call was when Dallas Clark was HOLDING Mike Vrabel so badly that his jersey was almost completely off. You saw him going back to the sideline with his jersey half off his pads. Yeah, that was right before one of Joseph Addai's big runs. No wonder he ran for almost 200 yards, and caught for another 100... It's easy when the refs aren't calling holding on the Colts.
