My well pit was flooded because my float on my sump was stuck and it tripped the breaker. On my lunch I got the sump working, but why would that cause no water in my house? Once it is all drained how do I get my water back?

I have a well. The water pump is on the same breaker as the sump, and in the well pit, as well.

jennifer, since the sump and well pumps are controlled by the same breaker, it is possible that you just need to reset the pressure switch on your well pump. there will be a small red button on top of a sqare black plastic "box" on the side of the pump. this is the reset.

It should not be related. Possible that the sump pump and the well pump were tied together and has a GFCI breaker in the line. See if you can find a GFI that is also tripped.

On account they are on the same breaker, if one trips, you lose the other.
