It was sickening to watch those horrible calls. The referees were either poorly trained, or they were aiding the Colts. The Colts players were not only interfering with the Patriots receivers and defenders; they were tackling them as the ball flew overhead. The Pass Interference calls on the Patriots were clearly not legit. Manning is not stupid. He knew he had the referees in his hip pocket, so he kept throwing deep to get the calls. The score should not have been so close. I hope the NFL reviews that game and demotes a few of those pinstripes.

Dude, you're preachin the the choir here man. Those refs were so one sided I could have sworn they were wearing Manning jerseys under their stripes. Just about every penalty against the Pats was bogus except for a few legit ones, but it seriously seemed like every time Reggie Wayne didn't come down with the pass that their was a flag being thrown. The most blatant "fix" if you will was when Wayne OBVIOUSLY tripped over his own 2 feet and then PULLED Ellis Hobbs down so he couldn't make the interception, which in turn was called as pass interference against Hobbs, thus putting Indy on the 1 yard line. Even the announcers said that one was totally bogus but then tried to re-word their statement by saying it was a hard fought battle between the two players and a tough call to make. Didn't surprise me 1 bit considering this isn't the first time the Pats have been screwed by the refs in Indy, just think back to last years AFC championship.

Yeah I was more than a little angry by some of the calls...I don't mind if there are bad calls as long as it's going both ways and not just one team receiving them...I don't think the fix was in but I think that was a pretty poorly officiated game and it seemed to be a one-sided poorly officiated game. I am just glad that the Pats overcame that and pulled out the win.

Well yes and no, I totally agree that the officiating crew guaranteed that they will not be making the playoffs (since refs are ranked and the best crews get the post season games) and the Ellis Hobbes pass interference mentality was a bad call. But blaming the refs is a losing mentality, and the Pats don't subscribe to it, they know that they got some bum calls and overcame them, and next week (well not next week since they have the bye) they may get the benefit of a few calls their way.
Plus I don't think it was a good idea for the NFL to have a rookie referee for this game, being a heated rivalry and all.

Colts, Pats, Who cares! neither one of these teams can beat the Stillers!! Colts= Average defense, Pats, a whopping 24 points. Neither one of these teams has had a real challenge yet. Pats defense= can't stop the run. Now let's look at a good team. Steelers= #1 rated defense in the league, #1 rated running back in the league, 4 deep threat recievers, 2 outstanding tight ends, and a quarterback with a rating over 100, and Brady like stats. MMM, Might it be yet another ring this year? We already got the one for the thumb, now it's time to start filling up the other hand. Oh, and I live in Indy, watched the game and agree the officiating was aweful, but bad for both teams.

i can't recall one nfl game where there hasn't been a call that was considered bad by someone. what possible reason would there be to say that the nfl fixed any game, does the nfl get more money? manning and other great QB's paid their dues on bad teams, can't fault them for getting better when they get surrounded by better players

Now you know how the Raiders have felt for the past 40 years. I quit watching football because the officiating is cleary biased against certain teams. I didn't watch the game, but from reading your post, I would have to say I'm not surprised.

no,i clearly saw a great game, the players on both sides were extremely worn out in the 4th quarter,if indy has not made at least three big errors that i remember, the outcome would have been different

Ya it was a joke but look for the Colts to get fined for them pumping out crowd noise on the loud speaker and for disrupting the coach to qb radio signal.
The fact that they still could not win with all this stuff happening just shows how dominant the Pats are.

Maybe the refs couldn't think with the sound turned up so loud???!!!??? It was a terrible example, and I hope it gets reviewed by league officials.
