I have a nissan Altima 2002, the car runs good except when on the highway when going around 70mph it starts to shake violently (right side shakes). Is there any reason for this, I remember than about 5 months ago I had its wheel alignment done. But that was a different problem and the car use to tug on one side(left), but now that is fixed, but it now shakes when going above 65-70 mph.

ANY reason for this? What could be causeing This? :-(
I love the car, but if it keeps shakeing like this things are getting squeaky and loose!!!

Thanks...

It may be that having one side sorted only, it may have put a strain on the other side causing the same type of problem, (you haven't mentioned the "exact" original problem), It could be because of the original repair on the left hand side, it has worn the opposite side in the same way. This would also make the original "Wheel balancing" , wasted time and money. It may also be that the steering rack has a prob', i.e. "Wear or damage" caused by the original prob', I suggest you have the steering, (and it's components), checked and then have the wheel balancing re-done, (both sides), and hope this finds the prob. Good luck.

via pull, i'd start up with the tires. 40 5 mph is purely too low a velocity for all however the main severe imbalance to ensue, so we are left with suspension or tire problems. If those examine ok and that's on an identical time as accelerating and not lots whilst cruising, i'd suspect a CV joint. In various boards some human beings have pronounced shaking in early 2000 Honda autos that became out to be undesirable CV joints, even although the boots have been ok.

It is very likely that one of your wheels needs to be balanced. When your tires wear down they become out of balance, or it's possible one of the weights used to balance the wheel has fallen off. Start by having the wheels spin balanced on the right side of your car. Usually costs about $20 per wheel. Good luck!

Have you had the wheels balanced recently? They might need doing. Have you maybe put your spare on and upset the balance.
Some places will check a wheel balance very cheaply.

You need to have your wheel balance checked. You should also have them look for any defects in the tires, uneven wear etc...
probably just the balance is off.

Sounds like a belt seperation in a tire

Vibration in steering wheel --front tire
Vibration in seat of your pants-- rear tire

Get two tires for whichever end it is...

did you buy it new or used?

if you bought it used it might have had a history of an accident..
