Should a central air conditioner unit be covered or not over the winter??

If you cover don't cover with plastic. Plastic holds moisture in and around unit causing it to rust. Cover with canves, which can breath or just put a board and brick ot top to keep leaves a junk out

NO, or yes, depends on your preference, don,t have to be covered, just keeps leaves and stuff off it,
