You know the roses with petals made of wood shavings.. anyone know whether you can make your own, with the right equipment obviously...
And if so how do you do it?!
I can't find any websites that have instructions on how to make them..

You would use a plane to take shavings off a board, going length wise down the edge with the grain. The shavings can then be shaped and fitted together to make flowers, like gathering Kleenex, sort of.
