Go see Citizens Advise Bureau as soon as possible .. chances are he can not get you out without a Court Order (and that's unlikely since you have 3 kids) .. so he might well have to sell with you as a 'sitting tenant'

As he is selling and given you the notice you have no choice but to leave. You can wait until the end of the 2 months for him to get the court order and as I said on your other q this can then be another few weeks before the bailiffs come. The day they come, provided you have been to the council, you will be housed by them. Don't expect a house. It will most likely be in a hostel or B&B. You will stay here until housed permanently. This could be anything from about 6 weeks to two years. So be prepared.
Having children it is a scary thought so my advice would be to try and find some other place to rent before the two months is up.
Have a look at the website links below. It has some great advice that we found really useful when going through the same situation last year with our children.

The tenancy agreement is a contract between you and your landlord. It may be written or oral. The tenancy agreement gives certain rights to both you and your landlord, for example, your right to occupy the accommodation and the your landlord’s right to receive rent for letting the accommodation.
You and your landlord may have made arrangements about the tenancy, and these will be part of the tenancy agreement as long as they do not conflict with law. Both you and your landlord have rights and responsibilities given by law. The tenancy agreement can give both you and your landlord more than your statutory rights, but cannot give you less than your statutory rights. If a term in the tenancy agreement gives either you or your landlord less than your statutory rights, that term cannot be enforce

Yes, your landlord can sell the house while you are renting it. Any rental agreement in force at the time will pass to the new owner, who may, after the rental agreement period ends, raise the rent, ask you to leave, oe simple continue the agreement. You do not have to agree with the sale and an agreement from you is not required.

yes he has given plenty of notice all you can do is start looking for somewhere else.
Go to the council office and inform them...in case you cant find anywhere else to live then you need to be on the housing list...they will need to see you have made the effort to look for a place to live
but they will not see you on the street and as you have 3 children they will house you when the the two months is up.
Go and see them first thing tomorrow as they need as much notice as possible.
You wont need to show them your contract..but you will need to show them the notice letter that your landlord has given you

Nothing sorry to say. The legal requirement your landlord has given you is two months which is correct as he wants procession of his property. I would recommend you find some where else quick as christmas is approaching there wont be alot on the rental market. try www.gumtree.com for private landlords. good luck.

I'm a renter myself and unfortunately, this is how it goes. By renting, WE take a risk...at any time the owner can choose to kick us out or sell and usually gives only 30 days (not 60) to do so.
You don't really have grounds for a fight. It's his property and he has given you plenty of notice.
Good luck to you honey
