I find this to be one of the most angry areas of the forum and it does go both ways. In your heart, you must see that, also, don't you? There's more name calling here and more pure hatred, which, if analyzed is hatred against many of our fellow citizens. We are a free nation and are free to voice our disagreements, but the anonymity of the internet leads some of the posters free to spew hatred when an intelligent and honest disagreement with some reasoning is more helpful. I've changed my mind on political issues and although I'm registered with a political party, I don't believe either party has a lock on honesty and are truly looking out for the best interests of our country. We're in a particularly difficult period now with candidates pandering for votes and fighting within their own parties. I would suppose liberals are angry because the results of the 2006 election didn't change anything. There is probably fear that the 2008 election will not change anything either. For the conservatives, there is disappointment in the results of 2006 and, I hope, some honest regret that so little was accomplished by the last Congress. At least for me, I feel we missed an opportunity to make meaningful changes and instead called a special session on Terri Shiavo. Her life was not unimportant, but to me that was the primary example of Congress wasting the time of the nation. If you think you have guessed my party affiliation from this answer, you probably have not. This forum coupled with the internet brings out the worst in many of us.

So you've noticed. Very good.
Well that means that this forum is actually having a good effect.
The fact that they are frustrated to the point of being distraught means that the net, talk radio, the churches and the synagogues are having a tremendous impact on the liberal. If you don't believe me, just look at what happened in France recently with the election of Zarkozy! A Jew in a land with 5 million Muslims.
If that's not a sign of great hope for this world then idk what is!!!

I think you are making a sweeping generalization. I'm rarely angry when I answer questions... unless the question is full of personal insults..then I open up both barrels.

I don't believe that!
I think that the neocons are just a little "sensitive" over that little F***-up called Iraq and are maybe a bit tired or are in need of a timeout.
There - was that soothing enough?

For the same reason cons "seem over-the-top angry when answering questions in politics category".
It's simply a case of disagreeing with another's point of view. I understand there are at least 2 sides to each issue but I sure don't get the anger.

You must be only looking at liberal-baiting questions.
The anger and abuse comes from both sides - depending on the topic.
Try asking if the US needs more labor unions to fix the health care crisis.
I dare you.
