You need to be tripping, not just stoned.
Compare Hendrix to other artists of the time (1968/1969), there was nothing else like it.
With Dylan it's the lyrics. Dylan is the rock and roll poet.
However the Doors were probably the best of that generation. Hard to find a better a late 60's rock song than Light My Fire.

Being stoned probably does help but it was a 60's thing. They were just starting to experiment with the electric guitar sounds and someone must've thought that sound was cool....i wasn't one of those people.

Not at all, but it couldn't hurt. He is an extremely talented guitarist. And as for Bob Dylan- I never understood the hype about him.

LOL!!! I concur. I never liked his music. Dylan's neither. As for who told them they have talent, it was probably the same person that told Britney Spears and Paris Hilton they're talented.
