I am assuming you are talking about computers here. There are wires that supply power to your drives, readers and burners as well as your floppy if you have one. Also your fans. some of your USB ports do supply low power in the wiring for that port.

Ummm cables carry the power from the PSU to all other componets, but i have a feeling thats not the answer your looking for.
