Simple theres no oil there- like there was no oil in serbia bosnia- and africa when the whole world UN and all stood by and watched massacres.

You only go to war when you get money from it.

The human race disgusts me sometimes, and im sad to be a part of it.

regardless, Musharaf is not an extremist and he is the best thing that country has had for a long time.. Nobody knows anything... but Bhutto is the worst thing.. her husband (Zardari) has stolen billions and billions from Pakistan and so has she... It isn't a secret but it is downplayed like one. Her husband caused a lot of terror and these guys continue to do so.. All the politicians... they are responsible for the instability and violence... the drugs the robberies

yes musharaf isnt an angel but atleast he has some morals... and the best i have ever seen that country is when a martial law was impossed a few years ago.. there was peace on the streets... very little crime (and the crime there is crazy... you can get shot in a cell phone robbery)

what is democracy...when it doesn't work? some places just need military prescence. if i had it my way there would military police and soldiers patrolling the streets of pakistan forever until the people decide they want to move forward

Because he is in a very tough position (rock and a hard place). On one hand, you have Musharaff (sp?) basically killing the constitution, getting rid of judges he doesn't agree with, etc. ON the other hand, you have an ally in the WoT that is a leader who allied with Bush, is trying to or at least supposedly trying to root out extremeists/fanatical islam, and this also part of the reasoning for his loss in the elections; and thats where we are today.

Its much more complicated than what you presented, and you know it, yet you play these stupid little games thinking you've accompished something.

NEWSFLASH: Congress passed every bill that has become a law in Bush's Presidency. IF Bush has sucked this bad, that means at least 60% of congress (on a good day) sucked too. Yet most of you never get that far with your thinking.

Theres a reason Congress only has a 36% approval rating right now, and thats not bush.

What a pathetically slanted question. Why bother asking if you already have your mind made up about the answer?
Oh, that's right... because you subscribe to the conspiracy theories that George Bush is evil.

There is nothing whatsoever that can really be done without first ascertaining the Pakistani government's intentions. Is there to be a reinstatement of the Constitution in a timely manner or is this a power-grab? We don't know.
Of course, I find it funny you're likely one who opposes the war in Iraq and now you're asking why we're not invading Pakistan...

Expedience. Pakistan is a useful ally, even though there government is dictatorial and repressive. It ain't pretty, but it's reality.
Not that I am any fan of GW - I'm not, but there are political realities in this world that we face regardless of what side of the fence we are on.....

if pakistan is a democratic country breeding and supporting india would have tackled it long before. democracy is still at its infancy in pakistan. pakistan is yet to become a full fledged democratic country, americans wait. when democracy is well established in pak, the next moment the US will wind up its interests for 'sleeping in same bed'.

If we were missing the 2nd amendment like they are, I would have to say it's a test run. But that won't happen. Too many people that know what's right, and a lot of them support Ron Paul.
