Used to love watching Jim Davidson when I was a kid, with mum and dad. Can't say he's a family entertainer now! A shame, as he is a funny man, who didn't move with the times. Don't agree with his views at all, but I don't much like Brian either! So no, it didn't change my negative opinion of him, but I was disappointed that as a seasoned veteran performer, he didn't realise the risks and take care accordingly. I know he can be a kind man and was hoping to see the nicer side of Jim.

Okay, I'll tell you straight off that I didn't watch Celebrity Hells Kitchen so I don't know what went on.
But I have seen Jim Davidson do two charity concerts in Blackpool, and he had the audience eating out of his hand.
He supports the servicemen of this country, I've seen him walk the length of blackpool Pier pushing a mentally handicapped person in a wheelchair, and he is entitled to his own opinions.
The comments it is claimed he made are nothing compared to the homophobic rubbish spouted in the LGBT section on Yahoo Answers.
Yes, they weren't nice, but people make remarks based on other peoples characteristics all the time. Its not right, but there it is.

Not really. Jim Davidson has always been outspoken and not totally PC in his views. His disliking of Brian has more to do with Brain's personality rather than sexuality and I actually felt that everyone over-reacted a little at the time.

Jim Davision may well be slightly homaphobic many people of his generation are unfortunately, mainly due to ingnorance rather than them being bad people. Im not homaphobic at all but im not that keen on Brain Dowling. I thought he was a prat on big brother and is still a prat now and seems to be the sort of person who delights in any type of controversey.

I too used to like him as a stand up back in the 70's however I read his autobiography and he left no holds barred and it did change my opinion of him as he has been a right naughty lad.
He did not like Brian and to be honest I am not keen but there was no need for personal insult he is a man's man.
At least he was honest and not afraid to say.

He may well not be homophobic, but he lowered himself to making comments about Brian's sexuality and that was wrong. You cannot be two things at once, I don't care what he says or how many gay friends he has, he made homophobic comments at the end of the day and it was a very childish way to react to a situation.

no nor do i care i have bigger things in my life to worry about then what is going on in reality television
everyone is entitled to their own opinion and for someone that is a "celebrity" you shouldn't believe what you hear because its probably only the half truth..you dont know that person or their true situation so you have no right to judge

No it doesn't change my mind about him one iota Gartom. I couldn't stand him then and I can't stand him now - he is an obnoxious, foul mouthed bully. So what that he didn't like those three that didn't excuse the way he behaved and I bet if we delved deeper we would find the reason why he didn't like them - he saw them as a threat.

I have never liked him, but I would also like to say that his brief was to go on the show and get it some publicity - which he did, he did his job. They still paid him his fee of £200,000, had there been any likelihood of him not getting the paid then he would have kept his mouth firmly shut. It's television entertainment, don't believe everything they say.

He tried to say that when it all first happened, that he wasn't anti-gay just anti one gay person!
Funny isn't it that if he had taken a dislike to a woman and called her a "silly bird" or something like that, no-one would have raised an eyebrow, but because he made a reference to Brian's homosexuality, it suddenly becomes all about that.
