Good luck Hazel with the baby making!

For those of you who have a smart @$$ answer, get over it! Did your mom ever teach you that if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all? I did not realize that Christmas was so near until Saturday when I was doing a little shopping, so this is basicly a reminder for people!

Christmas is not the same. I hate the concept of buying gifts. My family does this thing called "white elephant" It's when you bring something from your home that you don't use or need anymore. It could be anything!!! It's so funny cause we play a game with it, so if you don't like the gift you received you can switch with someone else's gift! We have a ton of laughs. Last year I brought home my sisters VCR. I just have a ball with the whole white elephant giving. And besides to me it's about being with the people you care about the most in life and celebrating Jesus and family.

I gave up Christmas shopping a few years ago. I used to like Christmas, but not so much now, guess because I went from getting all of the gifts to having to give all the gifts. I just give my kids money and let them get what they want.

Do you realize it's only 17 days until Thanksgiving?

One holiday at a time please. Besides, if you're foolish enough to start shopping before the sales (unless it's a store closing sale) then you need to start posting requests on shopping wisely. I suggest starting with the question, "Should I buy this $70 DVD player or wait only 3 weeks when it will be selling for $25?"

Shopping? I don't do that.

However, I do need to start figuring out ways to get mad at everyone that would otherwise expect a gift. That's always a challenge, and takes time to do right, so that I can renew the friendships in January.

Oh, only 50? No, I haven't. I usually shop 2 or 3 days before Christmas. I'm in no rush.

Yes I do realize that....and no I haven't. I doubt I will start shopping until early December....I only buy gifts for my immediate family...which means I only have 4 things to buy.

That's quite long. Done little bits, I tend to just buy things when I see them and store them in a big box in the attic. Shopping on line makes a huge difference, you can order your stuff at random times like midnight, have it dropped off at your home with no aching arms..................
