She was on the clock. And I even have proof I took a picture of her sleeping using my camera phone. Still in shocked I showed it to a co-worker and they said she does that all the time and our boss knows about it. The reason he hasn't said anything is because they are friends. I have a big problem with this and to make it worst she was sleeping for at least 45 min. What should I do? This happen on Friday 11/2 and by now my boss knows about the picture and so does she.

Let me clear something's up. I've been at this hospital for 7 months and I am a great employee! I was going to the restroom when I looked in her office and saw her sleeping. I'm not a trouble maker, I wasn't spying I was just waking by and saw it . I do my work and was shocked that she was sleeping and my boss knows..but if it was me or any other employees..we would be FIRED!!! I have a problem with him if this is how he is running his department.

Present it straight to the boss and tell them do something about it or I will. Take it over the bosses head you have that right without fear of reprisal, if not does your company have an EEO officer or present it to your states department of labor. Keep in mind your local newspaper or TV station is a really good place to leak it too. It has worked for me in the past.

Are you a union shop? If your NOT than you may be asking for trouble. Are you a trouble maker at work.. ? Are you constantly NOT doing your job and always looking for the easy way? If you are then by all means bring it up to the boss. HE/SHE probably won't do anything if they are friends. So, you will have two enemies- possibly more if you "tattle tale". Also, if you are working doing what you are supposed to then you shouldn't have time to be "spying" on those around you. Not that what the supervisor is doing is right but, there's a time/place to use this information. Like for instance if you are caught sleeping on the job. Then by all means use it as your defense. I would keep the photo under your hat until the "perfect" time presents itself. good luck

If it is realy bothering you I suggest that you ask her if everything is ok. There may be things going on in her life that the boss is aware of and that for personal reasons you are not. I wouldn't automaticaly go to the head of the company as you may be seen to be causing troube - even though I am sure you are not!! - try to talk to her first.

As long as she is your supervisor - keep your mouth shut. I assume you work in an environment where "you scratch my back, and I'll scratch yours".
Do not be a troublemaker. If you do not like it, start looking for another job. You might have to anyway, if you "tattle tale".
