I never had a fear of getting old but now that's beginning to change a bit. What I truly fear the most is the changes I've seen in my overall degree of wellness vis-a-vis being disabled since age 54! It seems that each year it gets a bit worse as all things do with age...but there's nothing that can be done to help in my case except take many medications and not do very much at all. As I said, age never bothered me until this happened. I am now 61 and these seven years has shown me how my life will be from hereon out.

Not if Biotherm and La Prairie are still in business... :P :)

Anyway... Getting old does not bring just loosened skin... Brings wisdom, maturity, and knowledge. Of course they say that sometimes the less you know the more happy you'd be.

But on the other hand it is nice getting older and more exprienced. You get to share wisdom, protect people from their mistakes so that is much better I guess..

Furthermore, I dont think that getting older necessarily means grey hair, wrinkles and an 70year old person... I am 26 and I definately got older comparing to myself 10 years ago... ;)

To make the long story short... I cant wait to get older, and learn, see, experience... I am afraid of being lonely... :)

When I was a teenager, I heard someone say, "Man, you just turn around and all of a sudden you're 40!" I've been thinking about that ever since I was 14, and I'm not quite there yet. It's made the years go by a lot slower. Every time I think I'm a little old, I just think, "well, I've been turning around since I was 14, and I'm not 40 yet!"

Another couple of years and I'll have to change that number. I'll shoot for 80 this time. :D

I am old. The only person that wants to live to be 100 yrs old is 99. The thought of getting old never bothered me, but one day I woke up & realized it had happened to me, while I was concentrating on something else.
It ain't all that bad, unless you are a professional athelete. I was lucky enough to have wife to grow old with & did invest some money wisely... more by accident than design.

Nah dude. But I'm scared of dying. Getting an older is actually a great thing. You learn more, see the world at a different angle, and can teach the younger generation.

by myself yes, together with somebody no. It's a ***** getting aches and pains and nobody to soothe them. Not afraid of dying, use to be but now that I know where I am going, it's going to be fantastic!!! Better than here, that is for sure! God Bless you Demetrius, don't be afraid, write to me if you get scared, okay? Peace and Love, Angel♥

I don't know about fear as I hate getting old, losing abilities and freedom. At time the world seems to close in on me, making me stay in my little box. Good question Omega.
