Santa brings all the gifts my house. The presents that I (the oldest) buy for my mom say "Love Santa" on them too. So everyone gifts are from Santa in my house.

My children received the ONE item that they cherished most from Santa. All the other gifts were from Mom and Dad, because WE loved them the most.
Often, the Santa present was not the most expensive gift -- one year 'Santa' brought a stuffed bunny for her, and a toy car for him -- and 'Mom and Dad' gave them new bikes.
They also knew that Santa was not allowed to bring them puppies or baby brothers!

Santa usually brings one gift per child and then maybe one "family" gift (game or something).
Santa usually gives the "big" or "special" gift but we (the parents) give more gifts.

We write a list with the 10 most wanted things on for each of them and I try and get them all 10, but it depends on cost. They are 7 and 4, this may not happen for many more years tho because as they get older there choices get more expensive. Usually tho there are one or 2 dearer things with others just being dvd's, books or games. Relatives are always asking for ideas so if I go over budget they usually still get everything anyway.
