I know the AFC has the 2 best teams in the NFL but has the NFC filled the gap a little this year? I know it was only one Sunday but the NFC had some big wins over the AFC this week. Detroit smeared Denver, Vikings creamed the Chargers, GB beat Denver and KC on their home fields and the Saints beat the Jags. And if my math is correct the NFC is 45-45 vs the AFC this year.

Things are looking up for most of the NFC (not my 49ers) with Detroit really the biggest surpise, if the Packers can get some kind of running game going they could challenge Dallas to see who plays the Patriots or Colts (by far the two best teams in the NFL) in the Super Bowl. That Viking game surprised me as well, thought the Chargers' defense was better (296 yards by Peterson) clearly not, Saints have an exciting offense but haven't impressed me defensively...it's definitely looking up...remember the NFC won 8 out of 10 Super Bowls in both the 1980s and 1990s?...AFC has won 6 out of 7

The Pats and Colts have seperated themselves as people have stated. Those 2 have gone 5-0 vs. the NFC.

So if you exclude those 2 teams the NFC holds a 19-15 advantage. So other that the big 2 the NFC may hold a slight advatage. But having the 2 really tips the scales in the AFC's advantage.

i think of your applicable. i think of final year they have been tremendously lots even. the two conferences would be very aggressive. The NFC East often is the main relaxing to video demonstrate. Then the NFC South. The AFC South will nevertheless produce 3 playoff communities. based how long Brady is out too the AFC East purely became lots greater aggressive. in case you investigate the right communities in each convention and evaluate them to their opposite numbers, you're able to take the NFC as being the tougher convention to win in. Now it is in trouble-free terms week one yet I fell it is going to take a minimum of 10 wins for the playoffs this year in the NFC. whether i think of a 9-7 group will teach their faces in the AFC. BTY If the Toronto/Buffalo expenses shop enjoying like that they'd project the Pats for the div, without or with Brady. Yeah I pronounced Pats followers, so manage it.

The NFC has shorten the gap this year but there is still a huge gap at the top. NE and Indy are far and away the best teams in the league, then you have a big drop off to the second level which is still loaded with AFC teams although afew NFC teams have made it into that second level.

To be honest the NFC is catching up to the AFC, and that is right about on pattern. On the other hand the Chargers get too much hype this year, people forget they are coached by Norv Turner now so they aren't the same team. I'd say the AFC is still better, but compare it is about 65-35 maybe up to 60-40.

the nfc is 19-20 vs the afc, so its virtually a tie. and yes, the nfc has closed the gap. unfortunately, the colts and pats created a new conference thats on another planet, but still considered part of the afc.

I think the NFC is as good, except for the 2 teams in the AFC. Minus them and the NFC probably has a small edge.

I think the NFC is just as good as the AFC. It's just that all the attention is paid to the AFC because they have won that past several SB.

I agree, the NFC looks pretty tough this year.

Looking forward to Superbowl XLII, Browns v. Lions.
